In August 2011 Sandy (finally) used her RV and joined Mike's family (in a rented RV) for a trip north through Oregon, Washington, Idaho to Canada. Our initial goal was to spend time at Lake Louise and Banff, but we never got that far and saw southern British Columbia and the Olympic Peninsula in Washington instead. A wonderful trip!

Departure & Mossbrae Falls
We were mostly packed and ready to go by 2:00. Then, Sandy discovered that her RV’s license had expired so she spent a tedious 90 min at the Davis DMV watching the bureaucrats move at glacial speed. Sandy and Mandy picked up Mandy’s guitar and music and (finally) started up Hwy 5 to catch up with everyone else who had gone on ahead. While they were waiting, Mike, Angie and the remaining kids walked down the Union Pacific tracks to the spectacular Mossbrae Falls. It was nearly dark when they returned to Dunsmuir for a late pizza dinner. We dry camped at the entrance to the Hedge Creek Falls - - it was just off Hwy 5 and the railroad tracks so wasn't the nicest place to stay, but it was late and we were tired!
