In August 2011 Sandy (finally) used her RV and joined Mike's family (in a rented RV) for a trip north through Oregon, Washington, Idaho to Canada. Our initial goal was to spend time at Lake Louise and Banff, but we never got that far and saw southern British Columbia and the Olympic Peninsula in Washington instead. A wonderful trip!

Stonehenge
A replica of Stonehenge was built on a bluff overlooking the Columbia River just north of Peach Beach. It was a memorial to the men from that county who had lost their lives during WW1. It was interesting to walk through a model of what the real Stonehenge might have looked like when it was newly made. The location also provided a beautiful view of the Columbia River and the barren country on both sides of the eastern end of the gorge with Mount Hood in the distance to the west. Disaster struck as we were leaving - - both Charlotte and Caleb were stung by yellow jackets so we headed Northeast toward Spokane in tears.
